This hacienda-style house, known as Villa Miguel, is in the gated Cabo del Sol golf community on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula. The 180,000-acre resort was built along a two-mile stretch of the Sea of Cortez coastline, just minutes from downtown Cabo San Lucas. It includes several subdivisions with custom houses and condominiums facing the ocean or the fairway.

Villa Miguel, which has four bedrooms and four and a half baths over 3,800 square feet, offers both gulf and golf.

The Cleveland Clinic just announced plans to develop a hospital near Buckingham Palace in London. Cruise ship spas are now staffed by medical doctors and licensed acupuncturists.

The United States once had the world’s market share of in-bound patients seeking healthcare from “the best healthcare system in the world.” Now that the U.S. is well-acknowledged to be the most expensive healthcare system in the world, medical tourism is both in-bound and, increasingly, out-bound, with at least 1.4 million Americans seeking healthcare abroad in 2016, according to Visa.

Thousands of people have taken to the streets of Mexico City to demand the president's resignation.

Protesters gathered as anger mounted over President Enrique Pena Nieto's handling of drug violence, corruption - and his meeting with Donald Trump.

Cries of "resign now" rang out as they marched to the Zocalo square on the eve of Mexico's independence day holiday.

Mr Pena Nieto's approval rating has dropped to 23%, according to a recent survey by Reforma newspaper.

Sports Fishing Boat Sinks in Baja Calif. - 26 Rescued.

Good Samaritans helped rescue 21 passengers and five crew members from a sinking fishing boat that crashed into rocks early Saturday morning off Mexico's Coronado Islands Baja California near the coast of San Diego.

John Rodriguez was out on his commercial fishing boat with his wife, son and a friend when he overheard an urgent plea for help from the Coast Guard about a 63-foot sport fishing boat named Invicta that struck rocks off the Coronado Islands at around 5 a.m. and was taking on water.

Hurricane Newton swept across Baja California Sur today, leaving little damage in its wake and causing no loss of life.

The category 1 hurricane left 55% of the Federal Electricity Commission’s 110,000 customers in Los Cabos and La Paz without power, but service is expected to be fully restored by tomorrow.

When Stephenee Simms heard in 2006 that Donald Trump was building condo towers in Baja, the lure of a posh weekend getaway on the rustic coast just south of Tijuana was hard to resist.

Simms, then an aerospace purchasing agent living in Canoga Park, said she used her life savings to pay a deposit of just over $50,000 for unit No. 602, a one-bedroom overlooking the Pacific.

The sales team gave her a book, bound in blue suede, describing a resort where residents “relax by the infinity-edge pool, margarita in hand, as the cabana boy brings fresh towels.”

It featured Trump, shown smiling in a French gold-leaf chair, telling readers that no words or pictures “can possibly describe what is about to take shape here, but it is certainly going to be the most spectacular place in all of Mexico.”

In the end, nothing at all was built at Trump Ocean Resort, and Simms lost her money. As did about 250 other buyers, most of them from Southern California.

El Chapo Extradition Appeals - Latest News on Legal Moves by Mexico's Drug Lord

MEXICO CITY — Mexican Judges halted the extradition of Joaquín Guzmán Loera, the Mexican drug kingpin known as El Chapo, pending the outcome of appeals filed this week by Mr. Guzmán’s lawyers.

The appeals argue that the statute of limitations has run out on some of the crimes that Mr. Guzmán is accused of committing, his lead lawyer, José Refugio Rodríguez, told The Associated Press. They also argue that some of the accusations are based on hearsay rather than direct evidence, the lawyer said.
