CABO FREE PRESS - Cabo San Lucas Bar Review
The Nowhere Bar
A popular
warm-up bar, packed most nights with Cabo’s young and restless.
I have long suspected The Nowhere Bar takes its name from an
innocent (or not so innocent) juvenile’s answer to the question: “Where have
you been?” But like the response, this place is an illusion. There’s a total
absence of décor, kitchen, comfortable seating, or even an entry door to
announce its existence.
Essentially, it’s a bar stool and tabled terraza facing Cabo’s yacht-filled marina and malecón (boardwalk). A semi-psychedelic yellow-and-black sign outside is the only thing that identifies (or recommends) the place---other than the nightly overflowing crowd of young and beautiful locals and twenty-something tourists. DJ’s set the beat for the mixing of drinks and hot bodies.
Dancing happens, and quick bites are hustled for guests by the bar’s waiters who scurry to nearby restaurants. Sushi? Mexican? Pizza? Food orders come as quick as a waiter can run.
