Cabo Restaurant and Dining Review                                                                         Updated Aug. 2015 Original review by David de Los Angeles

This is one of Cabo's finest institutions.  Note I said institutions. Not restaurants. !t's one of those places you don't write home to mom about but you can't wait to tell all your frens. Kinda like a 24/7/365 bachelor party. Dig?

You can dine on the covered patio overlooking the beach and water action or wriggle your toes in the sand while dining on Medano Beach under a canopy of blue umbrellas just steps from the sparkling bay.

Chaise lounges run all the way to the water’s edge for those who want to drink and while the day away with their feet in the sea. At Mango Deck, Spring Break is celebrated every day making it Cabo’s ultimate fun and non-stop action place to hang out.

What kind of action? Drunken lap dances, wet tee-shirt contests, and my favorite - the bikini bottom swap race. Contestants run into the bay, the guys and gals who are in the water up to their necks - swap swimsuit trunks then race back to the starting line.

2 things occur - 100 people race after the contestants to the water's edge hoping to see something they shouldn't.. and can't because the swimsuit bottom changing takes place underwater. And when the couples return to the finish line - the girls look fine in their boyfriends board shorts, but the guys wearing the biking bottoms - will never live it down. Bring your camera.

This restaurant and beach club has a well-earned reputation as a beach side party destination, but it’s the wonderfully sophisticated menu that brings people back (the bikini contests don’t hurt, either).

There's fresh seafood and standard Mexican fare are reasonable prices. For an Asian-themed repast, start with the handmade gyozas, delicious dumplings packed with clam, chicken, vegetables, and flavor. Follow with the Mango Deck Roll—it’s loaded with shrimp tempura, eel, scallops, mango, cream cheese, kanikama, and more—and the Chef Roll (a spicy tuna roll wrapped with thin slices of tuna and soy paper, then adorned with lime, ponzu sauce, and curry oil). Valet parking is available.
