Cabo Mayor Santiago Weighs In..

Talk about Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez getting married in Cabo is swirling around Cabo like a  storm drain in a hurricane. 

Here’s the latest:   A Spokesperson for Cabo’s Medano Beach Honorary Mayor Santiago says that it’s indeed true that people representing one of the most famous couples on the planet have been checking out Cabo resort hotels for a possible wedding location in the past week.  Now he was sober when he said that according to our informer.

According to Cabo Free Press sources, the two haven’t had much success at locking in a Cabo resort for their nuptials as some of the more elegant and pricey places like the One and Only Palmilla resort get skittish at the mere mention of the Beeb’s name.

After his recent egg tossing prank in Calabasas who can blame them? He paid up though – some $80,000 in damages and other court related expenses.  I think he’s really a nice boy.  Just a little misunderstood.  But the stink of those rotten eggs will linger in hotel manager's noses for a long time before they open a door for him and his buds.

The One and Only Palmilla will take just about anyone's money. They even hosted Howard Stern for a couple of weeks over the Xmas holidays a while back. The resort villa at the Palmilla goes for $16,000 a nite ($12,000 off season). It has a leather walled office, recording studio,  private pool, 2 kitchens - commercial and private, servants and a mariachi band.  

But why not wed on the beach at the nearby Cabo Surf Hotel?  Or in Cabo’s famed Squid Roe bar and nightclub  where one can make frens buying drinks for half the town.  At the Giggling Marlin the newlyweds can get hung upside down on the marlin fish scale out front. Better yet - a Cabo cantina! Justin will feel right at home.

 A Cabo wedding planner claims to be in negotiations with their reps on and off and it's all making her crazy she says.  A Luxury Avenue boutique mall manager says that wedding gift registries have been opened at some of the designer boutiques there.  Diamond encrusted watches start at only $40,000 at the Luxury Avenue Rolex store.  I’ll buy them each one.  Oops – after writing that, I pray I don’t get an invite.
